At the beginning of the month, Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS announced their latest collaboration. Today the date of the launch of the new iteration of ASICS GEL-KIRIL 2 has been made official, and it is the last dance between the two creatives.
After showing his GESSIRITT II sneaker in May, Kiko Kostadoniv and ASICS present the GEL-Kiril 2 as the latest example of their collaboration. As its name suggests, the GEL-KIRIL 2 is an update of the GEL-KIRIL, but inspired by the designer’s FW20 collection.
With the FLYTEFOAM Propel midsole, they have reinvented the closure system. Thus, they have joined the tongue with velcro on the top to hide the different elastic cords that are hidden behind the overlapping closure. In this way they achieve an extreme hold.
Available in three colourways: “Coral Red“, “Phantom Black” and “Steel Grey“, the ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-Kiril 2 will be launched on 31st October via the ASICS website.
