It has been almost a decade since the events occurred.
In October 2016, in the middle of Paris Fashion Week, Kim Kardashian experienced one of the toughest events of her life: a gang robbed her in the apartment she had rented in the French capital. It was there that she was gagged and tied up at gunpoint with the aim of taking more than 10 million dollars in jewelry. And they succeeded.
Nine years later, the businesswoman and celebrity will stand trial where, for the first time, she will recount the dramatic events in front of a jury of twelve people. After five years of investigations, the French authorities brought the case to trial in 2021, and now the trial will finally continue.
However, this is not the first time Kim K has spoken publicly about the subject. In 2017, in an episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ she came clean with her sisters telling them about her traumatic experience: “They asked me for money. I told them I didn’t have any money. They dragged me into the hallway, up the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun clear, clear as day. I was looking at the gun, looking up the stairs. I had a split second to make a quick decision – am I going to run down the stairs or am I going to get shot in the back? It makes me very angry to think about it. Either I get shot in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t open in time, or the stairs are blocked, then, I’m screwed. There’s no way out.”
