Kourtney Kardashian’s vaginal gummies could be harmful

After Kourtney launched Lemme Purr vaginal gummies on the market, Dr Rebecca Nelken looks at the harms of the product.

A couple of weeks ago, Kourtney Kardashian announced Lemme Purr vaginal gummies, the latest launch of her wellness brand. Now, Dr Rebecca Nelken analyses the harms of this product.

In an interview for Hypebeast, gynaecologist and obstetrician Rebecca Nelken has exposed the drawbacks of such trends that seek to “improve” the smell and taste of the vagina.

In keeping with the idea that Kourtney‘s intention is correct, the professional assures us that there is no specific smell or taste of this intimate area. Each vagina is unique and its characteristics depend on many factors such as vaginal discharge, sweat, skin pH, diet or medication. For this reason, we should not advocate a universal “good” smell.

In addition, the probiotic SNZ 1969 used to produce the gummy has been tested and is an active ingredient that supports gut health. However, it has not been shown to be directly linked to vaginal health.

It is also worth noting the psychological damage that can be caused by the idea that there is a socially approved “canon of vaginal beauty”. Before taking such supplements, it is advisable to get proper information and, if you notice any abnormalities, to see a specialist.
