Cowboy trend is back

Yes, now everyone is going back to cowboy style. And it looks like it’s going to become the trend of the summer.

Cowboy trend is back

Yes, it was Coachella recently and that inevitably gives us one more year a street parade of cowboy-inspired looks. But in addition to seeing them at the festival, which surprises no one, there is an upturn in the cowboy aesthetic to conquer the new closets of mortals.

If there are two pieces of clothing that reign supreme in this aesthetic, and that have already laid the foundations in this new golden age of westercore, those are the belts and cowboy boots. It doesn’t matter if you are in front of a typical Copenhagen blogger or a US rapper, the aesthetic is quite democratic in this sense.

Perhaps Beyoncé and her new aesthetic for the new album are to blame for her comeback. The queen of pop has decided to go for the glam cowboy look that Lil Nas took to the extreme two years ago when he released Old Town Road. Kendall Jenner is also one of those who has been taking the aesthetics very seriously for several years. The model and owner of 818 Tequila always gives a western touch to her looks. It seems that now, her alleged new boyfriend Bad Bunny, is another stalwart of the aesthetic, looking like a true Texan.

Denim has also become massively popular and is very much in line with the aesthetics we are talking about. It’s no coincidence that they’re called ‘tejanos‘, of course. Even the Clarks in collaboration with Supreme that have just been released are western-inspired, check them out!

From the street or festivals to the runway, westerncore is champion in both men’s and women’s Fall-Winter and Spring-Summer collections. Casablanca recreated a ranch in their SS23 show. Thom Browne opened his show with a real cowboy in true BDSM style. Stella McCartney took us to a ranch to present her new collection. Dior showed us in Seville its Spanish vision of cowgirls, the cortijeras. We could see cowboy boots and jeans with stars representing the new contemporary cowboy at DSquared2 last Fashion Week in Milan.

Although it’s an aesthetic that comes back every couple of years in dribs and drabs, this time it seems to be serious. So get ready to cinch your hips with belts and put on cowboy boots.
