Lacoste has a new Creative Director: Pelagia Kolotouros

Barely a month after Louise Trotter’s departure from Lacoste, Pelagia Kolotouros will be the sports brand’s new creative director.

Barely a month after announcing Louise Trotter’s departure from Lacoste’s creative direction, the sports brand has announced that designer Pelagia Kolotouros will take over the position.

Following the departure of Louise Trotter earlier this year, Lacoste announced the arrival of Pelagia Kolotouros as creative director. The Greek-born designer joins the crocodile brand after working for Yeezy, The North Face and adidas. The designer made her debut at Theory in 2008 and then at Calvin Klein in 2013, where she was promoted to men’s design director.

A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York, Pelagia has worked on collaborations with Pharrell Williams and Beyoncé’s Ivy Park team. Now, in addition to bringing her vision to the collections, she will also oversee the collaboration between the brand’s creative teams and the creative communities and collectives that collaborate with Lacoste.

“With her renowned expertise in developing collaborations, her ability to elevate pieces to iconic status and her talent for connecting cultures, especially fashion and sport, Pelagia has all the assets to accompany Lacoste in its new cycle of creative expression,” explained Catherine Spindler, Deputy CEO of Lacoste.
