Thus becoming Barbie’s first official ambassador.

The NBA king, mogul and pioneer in almost everything he touches, has just received his first doll signed by Mattel. The agreement between Barbie and the LeBron Family Foundation was formalised this morning, joining other sports legends such as Serena Williams and Mary Fowler, who have also been represented by the iconic doll brand.
‘Growing up, I was fortunate to have role models who not only inspired me, but also showed me what is possible through hard work and dedication,’ James says. ‘Now, as an adult, I understand how vital it is for young people to have positive role models to look up to. That’s why it’s an honour to collaborate with Barbie to launch the LeBron James Kenbassadors doll. It’s an opportunity to recognise the powerful impact of role models who instil confidence, inspire dreams and show kids that they, too, can achieve greatness.’
The LeBron figure is styled in the same style as the athlete, sporting a white and blue jacket with the initials LJ on the chest and LeBron on the back. The phrase ‘Just a Kid from Akron’ is featured on the back, while the left sleeve features a patch with the colours of his home state of Ohio and the green and gold logo of his foundation.
