Following the success of their first collaboration, Levi’s® and London-based avant-garde designer Kiko Kostadinov return with a second collection: a five-piece womenswear capsule. Designed by sisters Laura and Deanna Fanning under the studio of Kiko Kostadinov, the new collection reimagines classic denim silhouettes. Inspired by the romance of vintage postcards and stamps, the collection features original illustrations that celebrate the beauty of a bygone form of communication. To reflect the personal nature of the correspondence, the designers included their dog Dante within one of the stamp designs, bringing an intimate touch to a global theme.
The highlight, the Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Carina Waisted Jacket, features the intricate stamp print on non-stretch light indigo denim. Back elbow darts add sculptural volume to the sleeves, while stainless steel zippers and snaps add industrial functionality. A godet zipper detail at the cuff lends technical precision, and the garment is completed with a matching belt. For a more minimalist look, the light indigo version maintains the same sophisticated construction—back darts, stainless steel hardware, and godet details at the cuffs—but is presented with specific dyes that generate subtle variations in the denim.
Coupling with the print for a head-to-toe look, the Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Carina Flared Jean incorporates the same stamp design on light indigo denim. Its design includes a transformative godet zipper detail at the hem: when opened, the hem flares out, creating a flared silhouette. Other details include double side pocket access, two front snaps at the waist, an exposed rivet at the bottom fly, a back pocket with a zip closure, and trapunto stitching at the back waistband. The light indigo version maintains the same construction details – a double front snap closure and a zip opening.
Completing the collection, the innovative Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Carina Apron Short reinterprets the classic skort through Kiko’s futuristic vision. This A-line skort features a full-length short underneath with a hem that falls just below the knee. Five snaps at the waist allow for a customizable fit, while side pockets offer access through discreet slits. The detachable skirt creates dynamic movement, crafted from non-stretch light indigo denim with specific dyes and a zip opening at the front.
“We are interested in how transition, both physical and emotional, leaves a mark,” commented Laura and Deanna. “Like the stamps on worn denim, clothing becomes a way of remembering, of transforming.” This second womenswear collection represents a continued exploration of fashion’s relationship with communication, memory, and personal narrative, transforming everyday denim into a vehicle for storytelling. First presented at Kiko Kostadinov’s SS25 womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, the campaign pays homage to the show’s styling.
The collection launches globally on September 12 and will be available on Levi.com, the Levi’s® app, select Levi’s® and Kiko Kostadinov stores, as well as select wholesale outlets.
