LOEWE arrives in Tokyo with ‘Crafted World’

A celebration of Spanish art, crafts and culture.

After its debut in Shanghai in 2024, LOEWE‘s long-awaited exhibition will arrive in the Japanese capital to celebrate 179 years of history, tradition and experimentation. The event will run from 29 March to 11 May, and will take place in the vibrant Harajuku district.

Crafted World is not just an exhibition, it is a journey through time and space that connects the House’s exquisite heritage with craftsmanship from around the world. Curated in collaboration with OMA, one of the most influential architectural firms of the 21st century, it invites visitors to immerse themselves in the evolution of LOEWE, from its humble origins as a leather workshop in Madrid back in 1846, to become one of the most relevant Maisons.

This is a unique opportunity to explore how artisanal creativity becomes the backbone of contemporary fashion.

In this way, the tour is articulated through interactive rooms that transport visitors from the soundscapes of Spain to the catwalks of Paris. They highlight the House’s most famous collaborations, such as the pieces created with Studio Ghibli and the Suna Fujita ceramics studio in Kyoto.

In addition, the event will also celebrate the work of LOEWE Craft Prize finalists and winners Tanabe Chhikuunsai IV, Moe Watanabe and Genta Ishizuka, with pieces that explore the beauty and complexity of contemporary craftsmanship.

Admission is free but advance booking is required to enjoy this unique experience.
