LOEWE is in Tokyo with ‘Crafted World’

This is the House’s first major exhibition in the Harajuku district.

This sensory experience that fuses art and craftsmanship celebrates LOEWE‘s rich heritage and undisputed commitment to craftsmanship, offering an interactive journey through its 179-year history.

‘Crafted World’ has been designed in collaboration with the innovative OMA studio, and stands as a retrospective of its evolution throughout its legacy and as a tribute to all things handmade in their purest form. From its beginnings in Madrid in 1849, as a collective of leather manufacturers, to becoming a global luxury benchmark, the exhibition highlights the key moments of the House.

In this way, visitors will be transported to soundscapes and visuals inspired by Spain, Paris and Japan, with a special focus on LOEWE‘s most iconic collaborations, such as those with Studio Ghibli and ceramics duo Suna Fujita.

Located in one of the most vibrant spots in Tokyo, ‘Crafted World’ also pays tribute to the close ties between the Maison and the Japanese country, where the brand first expanded its presence outside Europe in 1973.

Spread over 1,300 square metres, the exhibition is organised into themed rooms that reflect LOEWE‘s progressive approach to fashion and craft culture. In addition, children will be able to enjoy exhibits designed with them in mind, allowing them to interact and learn about the magic of handmade craftsmanship.

Crafted World Tokyo will be held at 6 Chome-35-6 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0001 from 29 March to 11 May 2025.
