In his latest proposal for LOEWE, Jonathan Anderson explores the different points of view that define perceptions and the scales that draw silhouettes.
Last Saturday, 18 Boulevard Henri IV hosted the fashion show presenting LOEWE’s SS24 collection, and we had the pleasure of attending this very special event, where we immersed ourselves in Jonathan Anderson‘s imaginary amidst gigantic fountains designed by Lynda Benglis.
Subtle became bold by exploring the fabrics that constructed the coats, blazers, polo shirts and jeans in the collection. At the same time, glittering crystals took over entire surfaces like a filter, meticulously drawing lines and pinstripes. LOEWE‘s signature surrealism stretched shoes into trousers and turned giant pieces of fabric into pinned tops. All in a soft colour palette dominated by pastels, black, khaki and solid blue.
An apparently simple proposal that hides more complexity than we imagine in the purest Anderson style, who has once again conquered an expectant and demanding public. A game of proportions and unexplored realities that add to the universe of the creative in an impeccable collection.
