Louis Vuitton joins the trompe l'oeil trend

It is not the first time we see bags of “plastic” that reach prices desorbitados. Already did Balenciaga in 2021 with the Barbès East-West Shopper Shopper, recently, Bottega Veneta with his Cabat Bag.

Now it’s the turn of Louis Vuitton, which has just presented the Freeze Handle Soft Trunk and the Freezer Sac Plat: two apparently plastic bags disguised as relatively conventional exclusive pieces from the Maison. Following the trompe l’oeil technique, these new creations are not what they seem, as their name suggests. In the images, at first glance, you could say that it’s a plastic bag with a drawing of an LV bag inside, in the purest ssstufff style. But don’t be fooled: they are actually made of silver leather and 3D cowhide and are even more expensive than the bags they imitate.
