Nicolas Ghesquière continues to celebrate his tenth anniversary at the helm of the creative direction of the Maison’s women’s line.
A decade of experimentation that has led to the creation of true emblems that make Louis Vuitton a unique house. Ghesquière has managed to reflect the roots of LV in each and every one of his proposals, in his own way and through his particular vision. Now, he renews some of the icons, taking into account the enthusiasm and exuberance of the colours that characterise Chinese culture, giving them an incomparable stylistic vitality.
For this, he has counted on the participation of Sun Yitian, a young contemporary artist whose imaginary has invaded some of the most relevant pieces in the collection. Together they have devised attractive contrasts that coexist harmoniously and provoke a very special seductive feeling.
At the same time, the accessories emphasise this message, telling the story of the innovative saga behind the great creator of boots who was the great Louis Vuitton throughout his career. The Petite Malle, the Twist, the OnTheGo, the Diane, the Loop and the Side Trunk, among many others, have been completely revamped to welcome a new and vibrant chapter.
The show took place at the Long Museum in the great city of Shanghai, the largest private museum in the country, which was founded by the collectors Mr. Liu Yiquian and Ms. Wang Wei and houses the richest collection in China.
