Louis Vuitton presents its new womenswear collection for the Pre-Fall 2021 season. Through the imagery of Nicolas Ghesquière, the French fashion house elevates the meaning of sportswear.
Nicolas Ghesquière has just presented his proposal for Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall season. The lookbook, starring Stacy Martin (@_stacymartin), is a statement of intent that dictates that comfy can be stylish.
The collection translates into a series of outfits designed based on refined patterns and elegant silhouettes. Embroidery is key to understanding the physiognomy of the collection, which contrasts with the more urban and sporty style. The color palette features accented shades of blue, bubblegum pink, red, violet, yellow and lime green. The looks will not go unnoticed.
The outerwear combined with wide pants or skirts stands out. Also a black vest made of leather and covered with LV’s characteristic monogram. As for accessories, the Nouvelle Vague bag has been redesigned in new color combinations. Over-the-knee boots and elegant flip-flops complete the collection.
“Stacy has innate elegance and an inspiring personality. I have a lot of respect for her career path, her bold choices and the roles she takes on,” Ghesquière shares in a press release. “I very much enjoyed photographing Stacy. So cool and laid-back, I love the way she wears my collections.”
