For the second consecutive year, Louis Vuitton is offering a new iteration of the Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton restaurant at the White 1921 hotel, located near its historic boutique. Opened on 25 May and conceived as an elegant oasis under the culinary vision of star chef Arnaud Donckele alongside pastry chef Maxime Frédéric, this multi-sensory concept offers inspiration and discovery, from the neo-gastronomic menu to the chic and fresh ambiance where guests can experience Louis Vuitton’s summery art de vivre.
Arnaud and Maxime, who first collaborated at Cheval Blanc in Paris, now reunite to renew a combined vision that unfolds like a gustatory journey in front of a legendary backdrop. Located on the famous Place des Lices, the restaurant presents a new menu along with a touch of colour in the service and décor that evokes Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram. Both hailing from Normandy, the chefs have brought to life a four-handed menu that reflects a shared passion for reimagining the Maison’s long-standing savoir-faire as a gastronomic experience that begins even before the composition of each dish.
Whether preparing a refined rustic tomato tart, wild prawns with verbena-scented sorbet or roast chicken with oregano served with herb-flavoured garden vegetables and potato mousseline, Arnaud Donckele transforms top-quality local ingredients into a sensory journey through the Provençal and Mediterranean region. Maxime Frédéric, meanwhile, creatively interprets classic French desserts, such as a raspberry pavlova and a vacherin glacé that can be enjoyed day and night. In adopting a philosophy towards food that ranges from the freshest ingredients to meticulous execution, his approach brings a lively touch to each dish and in perfect harmony with the artisanal values inherent to Louis Vuitton.
Saint-Tropez is an elegant yet relaxed setting for the restaurant, where the rattan furniture is adorned with natural macramé elements, while the upholstery features the picturesque Monogram motifs in an elegant orange colour scheme from the LV By the Pool Resort collection. In fact, the colours also evoke the Côte d’Azur of the 1970s and 1980s, a return to the Golden Age of the French Riviera. Back then, orange, yellow and ochre were very present on house facades, beaches, clothing and interior design. The terrace is surrounded by greenery and adorned with Louis Vuitton’s signature floral accents.
With the return of the restaurant, a new Louis Vuitton Art de la Table collection adapted to the chic and relaxed style of Saint-Tropez arrives on the table and will be available from 31 May. Crafted in fine Limoges extra-white porcelain, this seasonal tableware evokes a tropical paradise awash with flowers, coral and starfish. From the main plates to the multi-purpose bowls, from the teacups to the saucers, the motif enhances the summer table with a charming flourish. To accompany the Art de la Table collection, placemats are also available in limited editions in Louis Vuitton boutiques. These raffia tablecloths are hand-woven with meticulous attention to detail. A perfect synergy with the orange LV Resort tableware collection.
The Saint-Tropez women’s boutique is also the place where visitors can discover the latest Resort collection, LV By the Pool. Located near the restaurant, the offering is revealed in vibrant designs enhanced with natural materials such as hand-woven raffia and vivid shades of coral and turquoise, across ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, textiles, accessories and more. A mosaic watercolour effect defines various bag styles, while key silhouettes exude laid-back charm. ONTHEGO MM Rafia is presented in a limited edition for Saint-Tropez. These bags, hand-woven by expert craftsmen over three days with great attention to detail, will last as a treasured souvenir for years to come. Tucked away behind the shop, LV has a garden for customers.
Throughout the season, visitors will be able to explore Saint-Tropez thanks to Summer Resorts’ suite of guides as well as a personalised Mini Moke vehicle available on request, which can shuttle guests between the Cheval Blanc Hotel, the boutique and other dedicated locations to make the most of all the unforgettable moments of summer.
