Maison Margiela expands its creative universe with Maison Margiela Residences, the brand’s first real estate development. This complex will be located on Palm Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s most exclusive enclaves. The French maison, renowned for its conceptual approach and deconstructed aesthetic, now brings its visual identity into the domestic sphere alongside Alta Real Estate Development.
This design of the residences stems from a collaboration with Italian architect Carlo Colombo. The project comprises 25 homes that reinterpret Margiela’s most distinctive codes through an architectural lens. Each unit combines carefully selected materials, bespoke furniture, and spaces that play with perception through light, texture, and volume.
The interiors reflect what the brand describes as a “silent rebellion”. Resin-filled surfaces, travertine featuring a décortiqué treatment, and optical-white zones create an atmosphere that is both experimental and refined. The furniture — including exclusive lighting, beds, and tables — continues the project’s aesthetic narrative and reinforces the maison’s artisanal focus.
A curated and cultural lifestyle
Beyond its design, the development offers a lifestyle rooted in culture and wellbeing. Residents will have access to a private art gallery, spa, fitness studios, and the Margiela Café, a space conceived to bring the maison’s identity into everyday life. This initiative aligns with the brand’s broader expansion strategy in the Middle East, supported by recent boutique openings in the region.
A strategic step for the OTB Group
According to Renzo Rosso, President of OTB Group, this launch represents “the first step in a broader project aimed at defining the unmistakable style of a truly unique fashion house.” With this move, Maison Margiela ventures into a field rarely explored by fashion brands, luxury residential architecture.
