Marni SS24 Vol.1 campaign: distorted shapes and playfulness

Marni has just revealed the captivating images of the first volume of its Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, and if the brand’s Paris runway debut was a truly theatrical experience, the campaign continues Marni’s journey through the different forms of creativity that captivate its community.

Under the creative direction of Francesco Risso, the brand exudes a playful and slightly theatrical spirit, perfectly capturing the imagery he carried out on the SS24 runway and now materialized in the campaign images. Some shots adopt a scanned aesthetic, with distorted shapes and a static look that adds a playful air, perfectly complementing the overall charm of the collection.

Grandma-style floral prints, monochrome garments and lines and checks flood the collection’s garments. In true Marni style, the collection boasts of its classic variety of prints, which materialize in knitwear, tailored ensembles, coats and so on. These are fused with different textures and materials such as leather, suede, cotton, nylon….For example, a women’s wool coat in mustard yellow combined with green fur ball earrings and the PRISMA TRIANGLE furry handbag in red; or a two-tone purple men’s suit, paired with purple faux fur lapels and shiny brown loafers adorned with tassels. All a skillful combination of textures that makes this campaign dreamlike. Maximalism appears in the BIG FOOT 2.0 sneakers, which return for Spring in a new range of pastel colors (orange, lilac and zest yellow).

As evidenced in this campaign, Marni injects a sense of positivity into everyday clothing through its playful and youthful character, transporting us to the innocence of childhood, a stage full of unlimited creativity and zero worries. Without a doubt, a very-MARNI repertoire.
