Rose‘s first official campaign as guest creative director for Clarks has once again captured all eyes, like everything she creates and imagines. In fact, since her appointment, the buzz around her designs for the footwear brand has been steadily growing.
Unveiled during her Spring/Summer 2024 runway show, the inaugural launch of her collection saw classic silhouettes such as the “Oxford” and “Loafer” reinvented through Rose’s irreverent lens.
The new ‘Coming Up Roses‘ campaign, which illustrates that entire universe, is projected into the collective fashion imagination through the lens of Sharna Osbourne; constructed through a series of staged bedroom sequences inspired by Clarks’ archival advertising from the 1980s.
Martine Rose‘s diverse, free and inclusive cast is featured in this film resting on retro beds with the reimagined Oxford, Loafer and Sandal silhouettes in ‘Brazen Pink’, ‘Oxblood’ and Black, made from 100% recycled nylon fabric.
The ‘Torhill Hi’ model completes the collection with chunky effect, inflated heels and snakeskin prints offering a subversive twist on Clarks classics.
The collection is available now on the Martine Rose website, with a wider launch taking place through Clarks on 16 February.
