Martine Rose, appointed Clarks’ first creative director in early 2023, now presents a new collection for the footwear brand in which she transforms the most iconic silhouettes from her archive to adapt them to the present and even the future.
The British designer employs a corporate aesthetic with inflated silhouettes for this second series, which debuted at the recent Paris Fashion Week. In it, the designer experiments with her shapes and structures: she inflates traditional silhouettes, as seen in the Torhill Hi and/or her reimagined model with crocodile uppers and pony hair in orange and brown resting on scuffed rubber soles.
Pioneering talent sets its slingback sights on the slingback, embracing the feminine silhouette with puffed leather in black, orange and lavender. Finally, the mules are redesigned with streamlined lines and a ribbed midsole for a sporty look.
