A new landmark for London nightlife emerges: 77.
Beneath The BoTree, in the heart of the British capital, lies an intimate, high-end space designed for total immersion – both sonic and visual – that seeks to forge real connections on the dance floor. And for its historic opening weekend, 77 debuts with two exceptional figures: Kerri Chandler and Skepta, in two nights that will set the tone for what is to come.
Friday, 26 September will be the turn of Chandler, the New Jersey deep house legend. Having shaped the genre for decades, his powerful, soulful sound remains synonymous with authenticity. The session will be supported by Daisybelle, a DJ born in Puerto Rico who combines groove and sophistication with disco, funk, Latin and house influences.
On Saturday 27th, the booth will be at the disposal of Skepta, who will fill the club with British sounds. The founder of Boy Better Know and pioneer of grime will deploy one of his unmistakable sessions as curator, crossing house, garage, bass and the diversity of influences that nourish the London rave tradition. He will be accompanied by Meeshy, an emerging figure in London tech house; and OSSIE, a producer and DJ with credentials on labels such as Hyperdub and Brownswood.
“We designed the 77 to offer the same top-notch production experience you’d expect from a large venue, while ensuring that the connection between the artist and the audience is paramount. Our goal is to create a unique experience where both DJs and live artists can truly connect with the audience. That’s why we’re delighted to welcome Skepta and Kerri Chandler to our opening weekend, two artists who embody everything we stand for,” explains Eniz Hilmi, Director of Music.
