Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Casa Decor have signed a strategic alliance for their upcoming September 2025 edition. The objective is clear: to connect fashion and interior design through a collaboration that will have its first direct application in the redesign of the “Kissing Room” space, led by interior designer Raúl Martins.
Casa Decor, a benchmark in decoration, design, and architecture, will take charge of designing this key social area within the Ifema Madrid exhibition centre, where the post-show gatherings take place. Martins, Casa Decor’s 2025 Extraordinary Award winner, will develop a tailor-made project for this setting.
The management of MBFW Madrid emphasises that this alliance responds to a growing trend. Collaboration between creative disciplines that support national talent, innovation, and design as a cultural value.
It is not the first time that fashion and interior design have intersected within the context of the runway. Designers such as Pablo Erroz have already incorporated furniture and surface coverings into their collections. In his latest show, he presented a line of ceramic flooring in collaboration with Gayafore.
This collaboration with Casa Decor is part of MBFW Madrid’s repositioning plan, launched after the appointment of Asier Labarga as new general director last April. The September edition will also serve to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the runway.
