After presenting the multidisciplinary project “Origen”, Sofy Suars began her path in the music scene, continuing in parallel with the audiovisual. A year later, the artist is back with her latest Mix “Memoria Viva”.
Her latest mix “Memoria Viva” is presented as a selection of sounds that have a lot to do with something that moves, that lives, that is changing and energetic. Focusing on a selection of producers from the Southern Cone (CRRDR, Colombia; PV5000, Brazil; Imaabs, Chile; Zutzut, Mexico, among others), it travels through places of deconstructed club sound, exploring different paths that unite the common point: dance and the body.
In this sonic context, on a visual level, images have been generated with unstructured garments, but which at the same time mark the forms of the body. Dressed by R.t.m.a, nose ring by Ahurumi and styling by Angela Gómez. The photography by Nordin, frames simple shapes and a colour palette where whites, blacks and touches of organic colour prevail. The make up and hair styling has been elaborated by the artist Sol Carbajal.
“With this mix I want the body to feel very much alive and for us to be grateful to have this physical and emotional place, which supports us and allows us to feel”. Explains artist and photographer Sofy. “The search for artistic projects to which I want to give visibility is something that is very present in my personal work networks and in the creative processes from the starting point”.
