Meta wants people to be able to try out its hardware, so it has announced that it will open its first physical shop in May.
The Meta Store will be located on the company’s campus in Burlingame, California, right near the Reality Labs headquarters, where employees are working on building the metaverse. The shop will showcase the company’s VR headset, Ray-Ban Stories glasses and Portal devices, as well as offer interactive demonstrations for shoppers.
For Meta, the physical retail shops are intended to help the company not only sell more hardware, but also expose more people to its VR and AR technology. In addition to its existing products, Meta is also working on augmented reality glasses, a high-end VR headset and possibly a smartwatch.
On May 9, Meta Store, the first physical retail space of Meta, will open in Burlingame, California. Shoppers will be able to try out and buy all hardware products. Read more about the Meta Store here: https://t.co/xsUTcMQHsL#MetaStore #Metashopping #metaverse #retailmetaverse

“The Meta Store will help people make that connection about how our products can be the gateway to the metaverse in the future,” said Meta Store director Martin Gilliard. “We’re not selling the metaverse in our shop, but we hope people will come in and leave knowing a little bit more about how our products will help them connect with it.”
