Millie Bobby Brown has responded to rumours suggesting tensions with her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour. In recent days, reports circulated claiming that the actress had filed complaints of bullying and harassment before filming the fifth season.
In a recent interview with Deadline on TikTok, Brown was clear: “Of course I felt safe. We’ve been working together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set.”
The actress, who plays Eleven, also spoke about her professional relationship with Harbour, who portrays Jim Hopper, her on-screen father. She explained that the intensity of their scenes has created a special bond: “We play father and daughter, so naturally you have a closer bond than with the rest. We’ve had some really intense scenes, especially in season two.”
United in front of the press
Brown and Harbour reinforced this idea when they appeared together at the season five premiere in Los Angeles. Both smiled and posed on the red carpet. When asked why she wanted to show that public unity after the reports, Brown replied: “I mean, we’ve always been united in that.”
Confusion also arose in recent weeks due to Harbour’s absence from some of the cast’s press interviews. It was later clarified that the actor had never been confirmed for the press tour, as he was filming Evil Genius, Courteney Cox’s new thriller.
With the rumours now settled and the cast showing cohesion, fans can focus on the ending of one of the most influential series of recent years. The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is now available on Netflix.
