The new creation of the Italian firm is “Arcadie”, a handbag inspired by the mythical island of Ancient Greece: an idealized scene, a view of pleasure, idyllic and elysian, embedded in nature.
The new model represents a fusion of traditional leather craftsmanship and modern lightness, presented in a campaign photographed by Steven Meisel and inspired by American artist Margaret Keane, alongside the iconic Wander bag. The campaign “between reality and surreality” also features creative direction by Edward Quarmby and styling by Lotta Volkova.
The photographs capture Keane’s life and spirit, with an intimate and feminine aesthetic in keeping with the fashion house. The artist’s story of freedom and indomitable character perfectly represent the attitude of the Miu Miu woman, which is personified by Gigi Hadid. The model invites us to participate in this imaginary between the real and the metaphysical through her gestures and emotions along with the bags of the moment, which are available on the Miu Miu website.
