Montblanc joined foces with Zinédine Zidane to develop a new capsule collection of travel essentials. This exclusive line, made of leather and a particularly lightweight fabric, has been created with the aim of meeting the needs of contemporary travelers looking for functionality without sacrificing style. For this collaboration, Zidane and Montblanc’s artistic director, Marco Tomasetta, have designed a series of five pieces presented in a combination of black and greenish pewter gray.

For Zidane, being part of this process has been an enriching experience. “Collaborating on this collection with Montblanc and with such a creative and visionary spirit as Marco has been a great personal experience for me, brimming with joy and enthusiasm,” expressed the former footballer. From the first sketches to the final quality control, Zidane has been deeply involved in every stage of the development of the products, which has allowed him to understand the meaning of the craftsmanship that Montblanc represents. Even Marco Tomasetta himself, highlighted Zidane’s active role in the creative process, noting that the footballer had a clear vision from the beginning. “Zinedine had a clear vision of what he wanted for this collection and has been very involved in all aspects of its creation,” commented Tomasetta. Together, they worked through several rounds of design and testing until they came up with a selection that reflected the former player’s busy and multifaceted lifestyle, where travel is a key part. The result is a collection that, in his words, “perfectly suits my lifestyle and travel and, I hope, that of so many other people who travel frequently.”

During several design sessions, Zidane brought his practical and creative vision to bear, ensuring that the pieces not only reflected contemporary design, but were also functional and lightweight. One of the most significant details of the collection is the pentagon-shaped leather label, a subtle reference to the panels of soccer balls, paying homage to Zidane’s distinguished career in the world of sport. This personal nod adds a unique touch to the items, fusing his sporting legacy with Montblanc elegance.

Other pieces include a cross-body bag, designed to carry smaller personal items, and a toiletry bag, both crafted in an ultra-lightweight fabric and embellished with black leather details. Each item has been carefully designed to balance style and practicality, offering elegant solutions for those who live a life on the go.
