Adrian Appiolaza transforms the everyday into spectacle with Moschino SS26 “Niente”, a collection that plays with the philosophy “reuse, recycle, reimagine”. Potato sacks are turned into structured tops and skirts, ropes and lace are reinvented as trims, and cardboard-effect bags stamped with “Fragile” add humour and theatricality.
Crinolines, bouffant skirts and technical recycled raffia add texture and environmental awareness. Moschino’s classics return with irony: smileys, trompe-l’œil effects and 90s newspaper prints are refreshed for today. The “Tie Me Bag” appears in rubber and cloth, an LED bag reads “Ciao”, and accessories play with scale and humour.
Embroidered roses and roses held between the models’ fingers, a pack of produce transformed into a bag, and the “baby tee” reading “Stop!” add extra layers of irony. Footwear includes sky-high black wedges and grass-effect mules that almost create an ASMR moment.
In “Niente”, Moschino shows that even from nothing, everything can be reborn with style and fun.
