PUMA and A$AP Rocky have launched their latest collection which includes footwear, apparel and accessories. A$AP Rocky’s knowledge of fashion, style and cultural experience brings a fresh perspective to the growing global motorsports audience. The complete collection includes the Inhale trainer, originally released in the 2000s, which Rocky personally selected from the brand’s archive.

Rocky and PUMA continue to push the boundaries between fashion and sport by using performance materials and functional elements and giving them a worn-in treatment that creates the effect of having been worn working in the garage all day. Rocky’s intention to change the way the brand takes risks through design is evident in this release.

The collection includes a sweatshirt tailored in a slim fit to emulate the fit of a racing suit with a distressed print, custom PUMA graphics and wide elasticated ribbing at the hem; a T-shirt featuring a graphic that mimics the driver’s 6-point seatbelt. Designed in cotton, this garment combines sport with streetwear and is complete with co-branded logo.

Accessories include a balaclava inspired by the balaclava balaclavas riders wear under their helmets; a balaclava designed to mimic the look of a racing helmet with a removable visor; race-inspired gloves including a heat map printed in silicone on the palm to mimic the veins; and gloves inspired by racing gloves including a heat map printed in silicone on the palm to mimic the veins. Finally, the brand is reissuing a limited edition of the Inhale model in its original iconic colour in collaboration with A$AP Rocky. The limited-edition insoles designed by Rocky will be distributed as gifts only.

‘This collection is all about giving fans the opportunity to have their own racing suit, from the helmet to the shoes,’ said Rocky. ‘Other sports have consumer uniforms and I wanted to bring that to the F1 category. And for the launch campaign imagery I wanted to show how, as we become adults, we can lose sight of the dreams and imagination we had as children and how you have to stand up for that not to happen.’

The collection is available now starting today, May 3rd in the United States on PUMA.com, as well as in select shops worldwide, including: Nubian, SSENSE, SLAMJAM, SNS, Foot Patrol, SHINO and CNCPTS Miami Flagship Store.
