After the uproar following the launch of the Astro Boots, the brand is back to “super normal”.
MSCHF has been on everyone’s lips since the release of the first images of its Astro Boots, the big red boots that garnered 25 million hashtags on Tiktok and went up more than $1,000 on resale over the original price ($1,400 on StockX versus the $350 retail price).
A far cry from the first big boots, MSCHF is about to release its Super Normal 2, which, as the name suggests, are as normal and unremarkable as it gets. It is a reinterpretation of a model launched by the brand last year, with a normal size and white base with mint and pastel pink details.
In the first version of this sneaker, some already joked that it was a plagiarism of Nike’s Air Force 1 due to the similarity of its silhouette. For this reason and taking into account that the sarcastic branding adds the turquoise colorway, it could be a mocking reference to the Nike x Tiffany & Co collaboration that disappointed many. We will stay tuned for further details on this release.
