The first under the creative direction of Miguel Castro Freitas.
The House of Mugler has unveiled Stardust Aphrodite, its Spring–Summer 2026 campaign. It marks the first chapter under the creative direction of Miguel Castro Freitas. The campaign takes a cinematic approach and was photographed by Robi Rodriguez.
The visual universe draws on the neon surrealism of B-movies and the hypnotic tension of dream-logic cinema. Overall, the atmosphere feels intense and evocative, echoing midnight thrillers and off-kilter classics. Through shadows, flashes and constant pulses, the narrative unfolds within a space suspended between danger and desire.
At the centre of the campaign, the protagonists of Stardust Aphrodite emerge as magnetic figures—strong, enigmatic and self-assured. As a result, their silhouettes cut through concrete settings and strobe-lit environments. Dressed in sculptural tailoring and crystalline embellishments, key codes of the house, the campaign marks a new chapter for Mugler and presents a vision of modern femininity that is both timeless and forward-looking.

“At Mugler, I am drawn to strong, glamorous characters, where power becomes visceral,” says Castro Freitas. “This campaign, the first part of a trilogy, crystallises that philosophy. It is a story of identity and transformation, led by women who refuse any definition.”
The campaign was shot among constructed architectures and nocturnal industrial landscapes. It highlights key ready-to-wear SS26 pieces, including sharp shoulders, draped leather and precisely cut tailoring. It also introduces the first handbags designed by Castro Freitas for the house, Lua and Aurora.
The Stardust Aphrodite Spring–Summer 2026 collection will be available from January 2026 in selected boutiques and on mugler.com.
Mugler returns to make-up with L’Oréal Paris and Kendall Jenner as its muse.
