‘Ghosts again’ is the suggestive and intriguing title of the latest project by the internationally renowned Galician artist Nano Abia also known as Nano 4814. This solo exhibition can be visited at Delimbo Gallery until 22 June. The proposal includes 6 paintings made with a very particular technique of the artist in which he mixes the digital appearance with the finish of a painter, as well as several sculptural installations with pieces made of resin.
Nano’s work stands out for being intuitive and multidisciplinary, sometimes even combining several techniques in the same work. His dynamic compositions start from figuration and anthropomorphic forms to become almost abstract images. Overlapping or fused bodies that blend together in a precarious balance. In his latest works, the image is distorted, as he tends to break down the human figure even further, reducing it to basic parts such as noses, mouths or eyes that reinforce this sense of abstraction.
Nano designs a sculpture for the Zara shop in Soho (New York) and in Plaza de España (Madrid).
