From 7 to 9 August 2025, Viana do Castelo will become the epicentre of global electronic music with this festival of reference in constant connection with technology and artistic expression. Under the concept of ‘Interplanetary Dance Music’, the 18th edition of NEOPOP Festival will feature two stages on which some of the world’s leading electronic music artists will perform alongside a cast of emerging talents who will take us into new dimensions of sound.

Thursday – 7 August
The opening of the festival will resound from the Heineken Neo Stage, where I Hate Models (France) will make us dance to the rhythm of their industrial sounds mixed with large doses of emotional nostalgia. From the Anti Stage, lesbian singer Peach will once again show her high voltage versatility between house, techno, breaks and electro sounds with unexpected elements. On the other hand, Ultrastation [Hybrid Set], with Nuno Dos Santos and Cosmic Force, will fuse their hypnotic techno in which they combine modular synthesizers, vocoders and drum machines.

This series of artists joins previously announced artists such as Aurora Halal with her immersive electronic visions, the techno beats of BIIA, the explosive energy of Charlotte de Witte, the techno explorations of Goldie and the world debut of the B2B between Joseph Capriati and Freddy K, opening a new era in Italian techno culture.
Friday – 8 August
The second day of the festival will put the spotlight on the sonic diversity of techno with mixes of intense and experimental beats created by artists such as KlangKuenstler, characterised by playing hypnotic grooves based on precise and frenetic rhythms. On the other hand, the duo Pan-Pot will bring sophistication to the 2025 edition by balancing their beats with expansive atmospheres. Richie Hawtin, one of the great pioneers of electronica, will elevate the night with his distinctive minimalism.

Meanwhile, Funk Assault, the collaborative project between Chlär and Alarico, will fuse Chlär’s groove with Alarico’s deep and textured sound, generating a captivating live energy. Steffi will showcase her exceptional versatility, moving from broken beat to IDM, electro and classic house, demonstrating her deep musical intuition. KOLO55, Zadig and Rui Vargas b2b Rob Di Stefano will complete the Friday line-up, joining the already announced Ben Klock with his techno sessions, Dax J with his high intensity soundscapes, Lewis Fautzi b2b The Advent with his Portuguese techno heritage, Salbany [live] with his precise analogue explorations, and ZenGxrl with his eclectic transcontinental beats.
Saturday – 9 August
NEOPOP will close its most futuristic edition with a line-up of techno pioneers and visionary artists from across the vibrant electronic culture. On the Heineken Neo Stage, Detroit techno icon Jeff Mills will present his experimental and analogue approach, fusing deep conceptual explorations with sonic innovation. Rødhåd, founder of the influential Dystopian label, will bring immersive, atmospherically layered industrial techno, offering intense reflective journeys with hypnotic tension and rhythmic depth. Completing this stage will be electronic music icon and Cocoon founder Sven Väth, with his eclectic and distinctive style that cuts across sub-genres.
On the Anti Stage, Daria Kolosova b2b IMOGEN will deliver a compelling and high-impact performance. Kolosova’s style ranges from rhythmic techno to breakbeat and jungle, complemented by IMOGEN’s dystopian electro and raw British techno. Hector Oaks will bring contemporary techno influenced by rave culture, incorporating surprising elements such as Latin funk, rap and Detroit techno into his vinyl sets. They join the already announced performances of live electronic trio Colin Benders & Lady Starlight & Sterac, the percussive intensity of MARRØN and the exploratory techno aesthetic of Nina Kraviz.
