New Balance is currently in the midst of a moment full of successful collaborations and launches. However, now in 2022 the brand is set for an expansion in its footwear category with the CT302 silhouette.
The sportswear brand presents the New Balance CT302, a completely new lifestyle silhouette with a minimalist design. In 2020, the New Balance 327 sneaker set a trend in the streetwear market, and in 2021 it did the same with the XC-72. Now it’s aiming to do it again in 2022 with the New Balance CT302, the ideal model for this spring.
The New Balance CT302 fuses elements from many of the brand’s previous silhouettes, in fact it draws inspiration from the current line of lifestyle trainers such as the 327, 237 and 57/40. The sneaker of the moment features a low profile with smooth synthetic leather base layers and curved rubber toe caps to give a little more character to such an iconic model.
The side panels are designed with slightly oversized N logos, as on the 327, and are combined with the brand’s traditional logo on the nylon tongues and CT302 lettering on the insoles. On the bottom, the shoes feature a platform that enhances the shoe with an edgier look and feel.
For the campaign for this silhouette, the brand tapped tennis star Coco Gauff to showcase its inaugural colour combination: white and light blue. The first version of the CT302 will be available globally from March 2022, and retail prices will be around €120.
