When New Balance first released its 2002R Protection Pack, it reshaped the sneaker aesthetic in a way never seen before, ushering in an era where deconstructed construction dominated the landscape. Now, the brand resurrects this iconic silhouette in three unique colourways, from earthy brown tones to sophisticated black and grey.

The design of these pieces is an ode to experimentation: worn suede plays with the contrast of the mesh upper, creating a balance between classic and contemporary. The brown model, which promises to be the first to arrive, is a perfect blend of timeless elements and modern touches, a true homage to the essence of New Balance.
The metallic silver edition replaces suede with a leather upper that adds a minimalist, futuristic elegance to the model, while the all-black version preserves the hybrid aesthetic with a balance of suede and leather, showcasing sublime versatility. On each of the three pairs, the pale yellow laces add a vintage touch that harks back to a bygone era, without losing sight of the present.
The model is scheduled for release on 12 March here.
