Based on a color palette that seems to be inspired by the military uniform, and a rugged and aggressive look, New Balance‘s new sandals are built with an upper that combines different materials: mesh, suede and fuzzy textures closed by a strap system that replaces your usual laces.
The model is elevated with a thick two-tone Vibram sole, and fastened with additional ankle straps that keep the foot secure in an adjustable fashion, injecting the ‘dad shoe’-inspired silhouette with the desired utilitarianism.
NB logos stamp the silhouette at some points, including on the black straps, generating contrast on the beige base, which coexists with other earthy tones such as olive green or brown.
At the moment, no further details have been revealed about the name or the drop of the sandal, but it is expected to start touring streetstyle and beaches by summer 2024.
