Inside New York’s Performance Space, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta unveiled their new proposal for the Fall/Winter 2023 season.
Against a sombre backdrop dominated by gloomy darkness, the creative pair presented their collection inspired by a note taken from Rachel Aviv‘s book ‘Strangers to Ourselves’ which reads “Culture shapes the scripts that will follow expressions of anguish”.
All eyes quickly turned to one of the people on the catwalk. It was none other than Jon Gries of The White Lotus, who wore a yellow and green spotted mohair jumper and relaxed trousers in off-white. The rest of the models unveiled a variety of relaxed pieces such as button-up shirts, skirts, straight trousers with zips and lots of waistcoats (sheepskin, knitted or open back).
The pink corduroy trousers, the pistachio green coat and the semi-transparent brown wet-look dress, which clung to the model’s skin as if she had just stepped into a swimming pool wearing it, did not go unnoticed either. Last but not least, the knee-high boots won over the audience, as did the square-toed shoes, both of which were covered in fur.
And speaking of new collections… Why not take a look at Heron Preston’s debut during New York Fashion Week?
