It’s official, Nintendo has just unveiled a new Mario Bros extension in cinematic format. The game will once again become the inspiration for this stellar production, which was revealed by Shigeru Miyamoto himself on Nintendo’s official X account.
The Mario movie released last year sparked a global fascination becoming the second highest grossing film of the year, grossing over $1.3 billion. This time, Nintendo has not revealed the plot of the movie, which keeps all its fandom expectant about whether it will be a sequel or if it will be presented independently from the previous piece. The announcement only assures that it will be part of “the world of Super Mario Bros”. However, the date was specified: it will hit theaters on April 3, 2026.
