NIGO fuses Japanese tradition and Parisian style in its fourth season for KENZO

Gathered at Passerelle Debilly, on the banks of the Seine and overlooking the Eiffel Tower, we discovered Kenzo’s new Spring/Summer 2024 collection.

As the sun went down and the heat began to give way in the French capital, the privileged attendees of the fashion show were settling into their respective places: Pharrell, Rauw Alejandro, Offset, Winnie Harlow, Tyga or Jordyn Woods were some of the famous faces we met there and who had the opportunity, just like us, to experience first-hand what was going to happen there.

To a soundtrack that referenced the creative’s adolescence in 1980s Japan, the mood was set for the show to begin. A collection that successfully blends formal tailoring with unconventional shapes and is made up of many pieces designed in collaboration with VERDY from Girls Don’t Cry. Streetwear and luxury met in denim ensembles, oversized shirts, cargo shorts and fitted dresses. At the same time, the KENZO flower takes on a more abstract image and is present on most of the key pieces in the collection.
