Offering a magical tribute to the Chuck Taylor legacy through a Japanese-French twist loaded with colour and nostalgia.
Designed under NIGO‘s unique eye, the collaboration draws inspiration from the ‘80s archives and the creative’s eternal obsession with the Chuck silhouette, an absolute icon of American style. The result is three limited-edition iterations, in high and low options, wrapped in the vibrant Hana Leopard print. A maximalist reinterpretation that perfectly encapsulates Kenzo‘s visual DNA and imagery.
A nod to the university lifestyle permeates both the design and the campaign, with a visual narrative that evokes the golden days on campus: creative freedom, youth, fun and a carefree attitude. All under an aesthetic that breathes a retro but updated coolness.
On the technical side, the essence of the Chuck 70 is retained but elevated with details in the form of winged geometric stitching on the sides, intentional imperfections and the Japanese brand’s iconic Boke flower.
The colour options are as follows: Sweet Corn for the high boot, and Pink Cosmos and Cypress for the low versions. All of them will be available from tomorrow, 17 April, on the official websites of both brands, as well as at selected retailers worldwide.
