Nike and LEGO build an Air Max DN

The silhouette would mark the first preview of the announced multi-year collaboration between the two cultural giants.

Officially announced in August 2024, the partnership between Nike and LEGO was envisioned as a long-term creative laboratory. Almost a year later, the first tangible glimpse emerges: a pair of exclusive and iconic Air Max DNs. Designed in a vibrant, saturated yellow colourway, the upper is composed of a texture that replicates the surface of the toy blocks, as if the entire silhouette is constructed from the same material that teleports us straight back to our childhood.

All the details have been taken care of down to the last millimetre: LEGO branding appears on the tabs, while silhouettes of minifigures are hidden in the Air unit, like happy ghosts trapped in bubbles of pressurised air.

A launch that highlights the crossover between urban culture and pop culture, as well as the infinite power of design as a space for generational communication.
