Nike Basketball launches new shoe in honor of Kobe Bryant

This new sneaker model, scheduled to go on sale in two weeks, features an all-white colorway in honor of the basketball legend.

Vanessa Bryant planned this concept as an annual tribute to Kobe’s birthday. The Kobe 8 sneaker, which initially came out in 2012, will feature a React foam midsole for comfort, the iconic “Mamba” logo on the tongue and an outsole with improved traction for enhanced performance. In addition, this is the first collaboration under the Kobe brand following the expiration of the Nike contract in April 2021.

The ‘Halo’ colorway of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will be available starting August 23 on the SNKRS app and at select retailers around the world.
