To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the swoosh brand has covered one of its most iconic silhouettes in golden silk and dragons.
Yes, we’re talking about the Air Force 1 Low, reimagined and christened ‘Chinese New Year’ for the occasion. The dragons with silver, gold and purple details take over the entire structure with delicate and luxurious embroidery in silk fabric intermingled with famous motifs in the toe area. At the same time, a gold Nike Air logo is unveiled and accompanied by a Chinese character symbolising “double happiness”, paying homage to the Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day. Lastly, the tongue label is gold-coloured, as are the laces and metallic hardware.
It has not yet been confirmed if the release will be global, but it is known that they will arrive in the Chinese market through Nike SNKRS China on February 14th. Scroll through the gallery above and find out all the details about this special iteration.
