There are brands that make fashion a much more interesting space, where really fascinating things are created based on innovation, development, recreation of the existing… In short, a place where, thanks to designers with great imagination, we can see the impossible become reality. Precisely, and with the aim that all these interesting projects do not stay lost in our Instagram, every month we choose 6 emerging brands and give them their space in HIGHXTAR. Here are the ones of October 2024!
1. My Arkyve
Arkyve is a streetwear brand that also dabbles in making 1 of 1 pieces from recycled fabrics. Created in 2021 by Will Biondo, the brand has been growing steadily in the streetwear world, even to the point of being signed by several of our favorite content creators in the States. Kai Cenat and I Show Speed are already fans of the brand’s crochet ear hats. As its creator says: “Arkyve is getting to be something crazy”.
2. 1 0 1 %
Based in Mexico City and founded in 2021 by British fashion and textile designer Jessica Maxey, who has experience at prestigious houses such as Vogue, Ralph Lauren and Victoria Beckham, 101% sits at the dynamic intersection of style, technology and sustainability.
As 101% continues to push the boundaries of sustainable fashion, the FW24 collection stands as a celebration of style, innovation and social responsibility. Rosalia and Emily Ratajkowski are already fans of the brand.
3. WERCORS®
Wercors, from Geneva, is the streetwear brand created by Xavier Weber, a young designer who draws inspiration from his environment to create pieces that seem impossible. His work is very much based on research and product development, resulting in fabrics as fascinating as the one he develops in collaboration with @ocbofficial from real flowers or algae pressed on laminate paper, or even the coating of volcanic stones in hardwear details of his garments.
4. Makhmadim
Makhmadim takes its name from the ancient Hebrew for “beautiful things” and reimagines garments by fusing existing designs with an innovative twist. Her focus is on everyday wear inspired by work and formal attire, seeking to surprise with the creation of functional pieces with a special attention to design. Each piece is created to satisfy lasting needs, rejecting consumerism with a focus on quality. In terms of sustainability, they prioritize local materials, European production and long-lasting fabrics, keeping their supply chain close to Berlin to reduce environmental impact.
5. We Are Youth Movement
We Are Youth Movement (WAYM) was born as a response to the trauma of a malignant cancer diagnosis at the founder’s age of 19, transforming that experience into a mission of social change. WAYM uses art to raise awareness about the support needed in oncological diseases and the importance of mental health, creating products whose value lies in their message. The brand specializes in unique pants (1 to 1) and part of its profits are used to finance treatments and support cancer patients, collaborating with the association “NoiperVoi” to provide psychological assistance to children and families affected.

All their products are made from second hand items. They are cut out and sewn back together one by one to make one-of-a-kind pieces. Lee Trigg, Tyla’s stylist, picked up on the brand and has dressed her on occasion in pieces from the brand. Judging by the latest creations we’ve been seeing on her feed, we predict imminent success for the brand.
