OpéraSPORT SS26 Pays Tribute to Korea’s National Flower

The OpéraSPORT Spring/Summer 2026 show began in an unusual and striking setting, an indoor swimming pool venue.

OpéraSPORT SS26 Pays Tribute to Korea’s National Flower

During Copenhagen Fashion Week, OpéraSPORT founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter took inspiration from a recent trip to Seoul for their Spring/Summer 2026 collection, exploring themes of tradition, poetry and cultural harmony. The pool, located at the Frederiksberg Badene centre, recreated the view from their hotel in Seoul and served as the starting point for the collection.

The colour palette revisits the brand’s signature pastel greens and blues, adding “Sage” and “Butter Yellow” this season, in reference to Seoul’s urban landscapes. The collection features a new hibiscus flower print, Korea’s national flower. It combines bodysuits, classic midi dresses, sheer 3D lace silhouettes and swimwear with floral-embroidered caps and cover-ups.

The use of recycled and organic fabrics is key. The season also introduces a collaboration with Brazilian flip-flop brand Havaianas, presenting its first-ever 3D-printed sandals, created in partnership with footwear technology company Zellerfeld.

A proposal that reaffirms the brand’s identity and marks a new chapter for OpéraSPORT in 2026.
