Recorded between New York and memory, the single speaks of inevitable attraction.
‘I try to appear indifferent, but I’ve cut my hair to see you,’ sings pablopablo, with that unmistakable voice that sounds intimate, almost confessional. “Contigo” is accompanied by a video shot in Central Park, in the middle of his first tour of the United States, a moving portrait of the vertigo of living between tours, love and new cities.
This is his first release since his acclaimed debut album “Canciones En Mi”, a work that confirmed what we already knew: behind that alias of repeated lyrics lies one of the most promising gems of the new Spanish scene. At 27, Pablo Drexler has woven a career that is both discreet and magnetic. He has already won three Latin Grammys, worked as a composer and producer for major artists such as C. Tangana and Nathy Peluso, and found his own project to be his true calling.
This weekend, pablopablo kicks off his first headlining tour in Spain, with most dates already sold out. He has already announced two new stops with larger venues in Barcelona (Sala Apolo, 7 March) and Madrid (Sala But, 12 March).
