Paolina Russo debuts on the Copenhagen runway

“We are really delighted to have been part of Copenhagen Fashion Week as winners of the Zalando Visionar Award. Being able to share and celebrate our work with a large audience is an amazing opportunity. Meeting the high standards of an award like this brings us closer to our goal of modernizing craftsmanship and rethinking traditional techniques through innovation and more responsible fashion. Under the name ‘Monolithic’, the collection combines artisanal techniques with industrialized manufacturing, bridging the gap between artisanal heritage and technology. In Paolina Russo’s universe there is room for technological innovation and the most rudimentary processes. For the degraded denim they carried out low water intensity production processes. The brand’s pastoral floral insignia is laser engraved on bolero jackets, jeans and miniskirts, inspired by ancient stone carvings. Likewise, knitwear is intentionally devoid of hardware and made of lightweight cotton monofiber yarns. Knit shorts, sweatpants, hoodies and T-shirts appear in sun-bleached pastels and primordial heirloom prints. Elsewhere we see knitted sweaters in rainbow hues and dresses with a semi-transparent effect.

The brand, in addition to emphasizing its approach to fashion, has unveiled its upcoming collaboration with Puma. Judging by the silhouettes that have walked the runway, is going to be a success.
