The multifaceted artist is delighted to open two restaurants in the Design District.
Nami Nori and Matsuyoi fuse Japanese tradition with the unique vision of Skateboard P in an exquisite culinary proposal. Both ideas have been made possible thanks to their partnership with Launchpad Hospitality, the group behind the Nami Nori concept that has already conquered New York and now lands in Miami with a menu focused on the art of temaki or hand rolls. This opening took place in mid-December while Matsuyoi will open its doors this month.
Located in the same building, the restaurants offer unique but complementary experiences. Matsuyoi, on the top floor, promises a more refined and reserved atmosphere, with a focus on multi-course dishes paired with select wines and sakes. Chef Tara Sakeda, along with Jihan Lee, leads the concept with creations such as artisanal scallop rolls, tuna poke and spicy crab dynamite, serving a chef’s bar dining experience, seating just 10 people.
On the other hand, Nami Nori, on the ground floor, maintains the fresh essence of Miami with a light and airy ambience that reflects the city’s coastal vibe. The space is dedicated to temaki and adopts an aesthetic that evokes its famous beaches with neutral colours and a relaxed design. It is now available for reservations through the official website.
