‘Pixel’, LOEWE’s SS23 capsule is now available

If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling to a parallel 8-bit world, you’re lucky. ‘Pixel’, the latest capsule from LOEWE’s SS23 collection, is now available (and we assure you, not for long).

This time, the Spanish brand led by Jonathan Anderson, wanted to teleport us to a digital universe totally decontextualized. The lookbook captured under the lens of photographer Jules Moskovtchenko, reimagines LOEWE basics in a pixelated way. And, thanks to the jewel of the crown (the Puzzle Edge bag), we already know what’s to come in the rest of the capsule. Spoiler: a fantasy.

Surrealism turned glitch

The pieces already seen on the runway, such as the hoodie and technical knit top, the satin and silk pants, and the cotton knit T-shirt with pixelated anagram, make a splash in the real world. The shape and geometry of each are cut out in the purest retro characters’ uniforms.

Likewise, the garments and their visual metaphorical prints blur the line between the real and the virtual. The wide jeans, the jacket and the denim skirt update a basic chromatic range with dark and light details that create that 8-bit touch.
