The iconic magazine returns in digital format, in a platform for creators similar to OnlyFans.
The iconic Playboy magazine has announced its return with its first digital cover. It arrives this time in online format, on a platform that functions as an alternative to OnlyFans. This platform for “elevated, secure and exclusive” content allows individual creators to charge a monthly fee for access to exclusive content.
Playboy will offer some content for free, while behind-the-scenes scenes and full photo shoots will be exclusively accessible to each creator’s subscribers. Playboy brand director Rachel Webber says this creator platform is the Playboy magazine of the 21st century. Amanda Cerny, former Playboy Playmate, stars in this first digital cover dressed as a futuristic bunny.
The company has stated: “Many of our creators do not include nudity on their pages. While we do allow nudity, we do not allow explicit content/pornography…. We are not positioning this as an ‘adult’ platform, it is for everyone, including mainstream creators who share behind the scenes of their lives.” Another difference with OnlyFans is that Playboy will not include amateur models on its platform.
