Arthur Kar, founder of L’Art de L’Automobile, takes on creative direction of the 25Y Carrera GT capsule collection, Porsche’s project celebrating the 25th anniversary of its most legendary car in the very city where it all began.
For Kar, who worked as a mechanic at the historic Porsche Sonauto Levallois workshop as a teenager, this launch is a journey back to his roots. “Since its launch, the Carrera GT has always been my favorite car. It’s not just a machine, it’s a symbol of innovation, design, and pure emotion,” he confesses.
The collection, which will debut in Paris on September 25, 2025, transforms the timeless design of the Carrera GT V10 into limited-edition clothing and accessories. Fashion and automotive merge in pieces that capture the spirit of this icon, from apparel and accessories to the Puma Speedcat sneaker, with every detail reflecting Porsche’s engineering heritage through Kar’s sharp aesthetics.
The relationship between Kar and Porsche goes back a long way: first with the 968 L’Art (2021), a futuristic roadster that turned a 90s classic into a work of art, and later with the Tokyo capsule in 2023. Now, with Carrera GT 25Y, their collaboration reaches a new milestone of shared culture.
In the words of Stefan Buescher, CEO of Porsche Lifestyle, “Arthur understands Porsche not only as a car manufacturer, but as a cultural force.” A statement that sums up Kar’s CV: a bridge between the automotive universe and urban fashion, capable of attracting a young generation.
