Through its Re-Nylon 2025 collection.
The Italian fashion house has just struck a blow with a masterstroke that transforms plastic waste from oceans and landfills into regenerated nylon. This collection is not only a reflection of Prada‘s commitment to environmental responsibility, but also sets a new standard for the luxury industry.
In collaboration with National Geographic CreativeWorks, comes the third series of documentaries that explore in depth the origins and impact of the Re-Nylon initiative. Featuring a stellar cast led by Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink, along with SEA BEYOND ambassadors Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, these short films delve into the growing marine pollution crisis and the innovative solutions Prada is implementing to curb it.
Re-Nylon is not just a collection, it’s a revolution. Made from Econyl, a regenerated nylon obtained from recycled plastics, the line follows the philosophy of circular fashion. The goal? To minimise the use of virgin materials and set new rules in the luxury game, proving that sustainable is not at odds with exclusive.
The collection includes a total of 191 pieces that fuse the house‘s iconic minimalism with a touch of contemporary sophistication. The must-haves are obvious: the bucket hat, the Saffiano leather backpack and the travel bag, all in sleek black with the recognisable triangular logo.
The exclusive and limited touch comes in vibrant shades such as Bottle Green and Aviator Blue, bringing a splash of colour that refreshes the timeless line and brings the concept of ‘conscious luxury’ to life.
